Coachella 2012 Festival Expands to Two Weekends

Twelve years of good times and a lineup of bands that keeps growing in popularity has lead the organizers of the annual Coachella Festival in Indio to expand the 2012 version to two weekends.

Claiming on their website that the demand has simply outgrown the typical weekend event in April, they have decided to experiment with a two weekend festival. This year’s event sold out in record time and was the first time the festival did not offer single day passes. Lovers of the Indio heat, the multitude of bands, and crowds of over 100,000 people were only able to purchase a single ticket for the whole weekend.

No word yet if Coachella will go back to offering single day tickets or if you’ll have to purchase a weekend of your choice. And for all you folks who enjoy a good ol’ fashioned payment plan, there’s even an option for you! If you want to get in on the tickets early and pay them off over the course of the year, Coachella is offering a payment plan of 10% down and eight monthly payments–not a bad deal!
