Neil Young Extends Tour to Support the Gulf

Twisted Road

Neil Young has announced plans to extended his current solo tour into the areas affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill. Young’s Twisted Road tour has been canvassing most of the United States and Canada over the last few months (to rave reviews) but will now reach down into Florida and other areas of the Gulf Coast. Young has never been one to shy away from topical issues. He has been a strong proponent of natural energy and doing whatever he can for the environment, even basing his 2009 album Fork In The Road around his hybrid car. Young also puts together The Bridge School Benefit, the annual non-profit charity concert held in Mountain View, California, every October at the Shoreline Amphitheater. All of the proceeds benefit the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs.
