As part of his nine city tour, Prince has announced that he will play four shows at The Legends Ballroom inside downtown’s Hard Rock Hotel May 3rd and 4th.

Prince and his new all-female band, 3RDEYEGIRL, will perform two shows per night–one at 8 p.m. and the other at 11:30 p.m. And, hold on to your wallets, tickets are priced at $250 a pop.

This is not the first time Prince has played in San Diego, though the 1,000-seat Hard Rock venue is one of the smallest he has ever played. His last show here was at The Viejas Arena, which seats 12,000 plus. Over the years he has played at RIMAC Arena, UCSD, Qualcomm Stadium, Canes in Mission Beach, and Golden Hall, his first show in the area in the early 1980′s.

Tickets are on sale now through The Hard Rock Hotel‘s website and by phone at 619-702-3000.

I would’ve loved to have gone to this show. I’m a huge fan and have seen him five times so far in various states. I just started a job this week after being laid off and if it was in May….I’d have bought tix in a heartbeat. Love this man!!!
