Kid Ramos

For the last couple of months, fans, friends and musicians have been coming out in droves to support blues-rock guitarist Kid Ramos, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. And now it’s San Diego’s turn to show its support. Tuesday, December 4, the “Six Strings and Swinging” concert will be held at Humphrey’s Lounge, with all proceeds going to help offset medical costs.

2012 San Diego Music Award Nominees Speak Out


San Diego’s finest music talent will be on display at The 2012 San Diego Music Awards. Taking place August 13th at Humphreys By The Bay, the gathering will honor the wide array of artists who create locally. Black Sands, Low Volts, Colin Clyne, Nena Anderson, Cuckoo Chaos, Josh Damigo and Wendy Bailey speak about their nominations.

Humphrey’s By The Bay Announces 2012 Calendar


Starting in April, Humphrey’s By The Bay prepares to launch another season of music out on Shelter Island. One of San Diego’s finest venues nestled next to the harbor, this intimate, outdoor venue’s calendar is laced with a plethora of talent. 2012′s lineup features Elvis Costello, Ringo Starr, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow, Lyle Lovett and Devo, to name a few.

Elvis Costello Kicks Off Humphrey’s 2012 Season


Humphrey’s By The Bay is bringing in rock and roll hall of famer Elvis Costello to kick off their 2012 season lineup. Costello will break the seal on the popular Shelter Island 1,400 seat venue April 16th.

In his 80′s, and still massaging the blues out of his guitar, Lucille, the king of the blues, B.B. King will be in town this week playing Humphreys by the Bay Monday August 5th. This man plays like he came out of the womb with guitar attached. Leaning back, smiling, playing the music of his soul, this video is an example of the beauty of B.B.’s talent.

Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys at Humphreys – Concert Review

As rock bands go, Los Lobos, the East LA outfit that has been together almost 40 years, displays the smallest ego but some of the deepest soul. Sunday night’s concert at Humphrey’s by the Bay was another example of how effortlessly this band can deliver multiple genres of music without the slightest hint of pretentiousness.
