As the year comes to a close, it’s an official SD Rock ‘n’ Roll tradition to put out a couple of questions to some of our favorites in the San Diego music scene to help us reflect on the awesomeness of 2012 and launch us into the possibilities of 2013. Imagine getting a letter from a stranger. And in the letter, the sender exposes a side of themselves that not many, if any, get to see. Be it from a director of a homeless shelter or the wife of a police officer who was slain; or an Aussie medic serving victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti; or from a woman who lost her soul mate and wrote him letters every autumn to commemorate his passing. These are the letters that inspired singer/songwriter Alex Woodard to create For The Sender.
